Dear Sir/Madam,
We are a couple from the Netherlands and we are interested in a wildlife photography trip to Gabon.
We are particularly interested in visiting Lopé National Park, with mandrills as one of our main targets, and also doing gorilla tracking in Moukalaba-Doudou National Park.
We are considering a trip of approximately 10 days in January 2028, for two people.
We would prefer a private trip with a local guide/driver, rather than a large group or luxury tour. Our main priority is wildlife and photography, and we would like to keep the price as reasonable as possible.
Could you please send us an approximate quotation for two people, including:
Private guide/driver and transportation
Accommodation
Park fees and permits
Gorilla tracking
Wildlife activities in Lopé, especially mandril tracking
Any other necessary costs
We will arrange our own international flights to and from Libreville.
We are also open to a simpler accommodation if this helps keep the price down.
Could you please let us know what itinerary you would recommend and what the total price would be for two people?
Thank you very much. We look forward to hearing from you.
Best regards,
Niek

Dear Niek,
Thank you very much for contacting Mandrill African Safaris and for sharing your interests with us.
We would be delighted to organize a private wildlife photography trip to Gabon for you and your partner in January 2028. Your focus on Lopé National Park and mandrill photography, together with gorilla tracking in Moukalaba-Doudou National Park, makes for a very exciting itinerary.
We completely understand that your priority is wildlife and photography rather than luxury accommodation. We can therefore design the trip around simple but comfortable accommodation, a private vehicle, and an experienced local guide/driver, while keeping the overall cost as reasonable as possible.
Suggested 10-Day Itinerary
Day 1 – Arrival in Libreville

Because you are photographers, we would also recommend early morning wildlife outings and a flexible schedule wherever possible. We can keep the itinerary focused on wildlife rather than spending too much time on unnecessary hotel facilities or luxury services.
January is also a particularly interesting period for Gabon’s wildlife, and we can plan the trip around maximizing your opportunities for photography.
If you are comfortable with the approximate budget, we can prepare a more detailed quotation for two people, including recommended accommodation, transportation, permits and a day-by-day cost breakdown.
We would be very happy to help you plan what should be an unforgettable mandrill and gorilla photography adventure in Gabon.
Best regards,
